Regular Services

PLEASE NOTE: Following latest guidance from the Church of England, unfortunately all church services have been suspended until further notice.
Although services are suspended the “church” is not and we are committed to praying for you all. If you would like to speak to someone or have a particular prayer request please do contact the Associate Vicar.

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope that we profess, and let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds and let us encourage one another” Hebrews 10: 23

Thursdays:

  • Holy Communion - 10am - SUSPENDED

Sundays:

  • Book of Common Prayer - 8am - SUSPENDED

  • Sunday service - 10.30am - SUSPENDED

Our main service of the week is at 10.30 on Sunday morning, which varies depending on the week of the month: on the 1st Sunday it’s a Family service (in our Parish Centre), on the 2nd and 4th Sunday it’s Holy Communion in the church, and on the 3rd Sunday a traditional Matins service (BCP) in the church. If there’s a 5th Sunday we have Holy Communion with Healing or Morning Prayer in the Celtic tradition.

About Our Church

Every church is unique in its own way. Built in 1880 by local benefactor William Thompson, with help from his sister, each part of the building was carefully planned with a theme for each window illustrating Bible verses and characters. We open the doors every day of the year to enable you to visit.

But a church is far more than a building, just as a home is more than a house. It has to do with the church family who gather there, one that is constantly growing and changing.

We come from all ages, from the recently born to others in their nineties! We constantly look beyond ourselves to welcome visitors and newcomers. Our services offer a mix of traditional and contemporary styles of worship.
