On Easter Sunday a warm welcome is extended to any (up early) to our 6:30am Sunrise service outside (and we will be singing as we are permitted to do). There will also be a welcome hot drink afterwards. Our 8am service is unticketed and so please just turn up. Going Forward as the West Sevenoaks Team Ministry

Dear Friends,

I would like to thank all those from across the three churches who took part in the 'Reflecting and Suggesting' exercise to help us reflect together as the new Sevenoaks Team Ministry. The responses sent have now been brought together in a two page summary which this weekend are being sent to everyone through the newsletter distribution lists of all in our congregations. Not only will the summary be a framework for our Parochial Church Councils for our common life as a Team as we move forward, but by sending it to all in the congregations it is affirming our intention that everyone's prayers, creativity, ideas, contributions, are and will be valued as we listen, pray and plan together for our common life in Christ. As such I warmly welcome people's reflections in terms of how we can, using this framework, now go forward, navigating the uncertainties of the present time, but committed to one another and rejoicing together in our faith in the Lord Jesus.

10th Jan 2021

Dear Friends,

Here at St. Mary Kippington, and across the Team, we continue to offer worship across a variety of platforms. We are continuing to conduct public worship as allowed under the new restrictions and services continue to be 8am Holy Communion (BCP) and 10:30am Parish Communion. (Please note that restrictions do not permit though Sunday Cub to operate).

For those who need to stay away from public worship for very understandable reasons please be aware that you can access our YouTube video for Holy Communion for the first Sunday of Epiphany via this link: https://youtu.be/VDFgzF7iTuk

The video goes live from 9am on Thursday the 7th of January. There is also an order of service to be used alongside the video. Please have with you a small piece of bread and glass of wine to symbolically share communion.

Also on this Sunday if you would prefer to take part in Zoom services: then a warm welcome to either -

  • 9:15am Holy Communion via St Mary the Virgin in which Mark is leading the service - ID is 616 146 1466 and the password is stmarys.

  • or (from 6:15pm) 6:30pm Evensong (also in which Mark is leading) - Meeting ID: 814 9810 6394 and Passcode: 168200

The church has been grateful to Wendy and her excellent team delivering meals to the vulnerable and to members of our Pastoral team who are beginning again to keep in touch with those vulnerable in our congregation through weekly phone calls.

If you have any questions/ ideas about church life at this time please do be in touch.

Every blessing

Christmas & New Year Communication

Dear Friends,

The newsletter for the next two Sundays is attached - the 27th of December and the 3rd of January.

In being in Tier 4, although we are offering physical worship at Christmas, what has now been produced is our online video service for Christmas. It is filmed in front of the stable scene now created and put together around the altar at St Mary Kippington (thank you to Rosemary Creed and the family and help from friends).

You will need the order of service and have with you a small piece of bread and glass of wine to share in spiritual communion.

The video can be accessed here on the website, or via the following YouTube link: https://youtu.be/jKS53jf1rPY

My continual warmest wishes for Christmas and a sense of God's peace as we walk humbly and carefully within the gift of time.

Rev Mark

YAY!  Christmas is here and my special present to you all is now available on the St Mary website

I really hope that you enjoy looking at the wonderful drawings and sharing my family’s Christmas story tradition.

And, in this strange and unfamiliar year, it is reassuring to remember what this time of year is all about: celebrating the eternal truth of the joy of the birth of Christ.

Merry, merry Christmas to you all!

20th Dec 2020

Dear Friends,

As the newsletter for this coming Sunday is going out earlier can I take this opportunity of extending to all my personal best wishes for the Christmas season.

Despite the continuing difficulties of the present times and the way those difficulties will still impact upon all of our lives and the life of our church and team as we journey together in 2021, I feel very fortunate to be with you all and sharing in ministry and mission.

As Karen and I feel blessed in celebrating our first Christmas with you, we pray for the Lord to bless each one of you in the abiding gifts of the Christ child - peace, hope and joy.

Mark
